Easy Corn Bread

Serves 9

  1-1/4 cup all purpose flout
    3/4 cup corn meal
    1/4 cup sugar
      2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
      1 cup milk
    1/4 cup vegetable oil
      1 egg, beaten

Preheat oven to 400 °F.  Grease 9" square pan or large cast iron skillet.
Combine dry ingredients. Stir in milk, oil and egg, mixing just until dry ingredients 
are moistened.  Again, mix just enough to quickly moisten everything.

Put batter into prepared pan.  Bake 20 - 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted
in the center comes out clean.  Serve warm.
