A.R.E.S. or just ARES stands for "Amateur Radio Emergency Service" of which I am a member for the Cambridge area. ARES Cambridge works
closely with 911 emergency services via the Cambridge Fire Department dispatch located on the corner of Franklin and Bishop in Cambridge.
The Ontario ARES is dedicated to providing an auxilliary emergency communications network utilizing a wide range of telecommunications
equipment and technology and through objective planning of these resources to deliver a quality communications system that meets the needs
of all our served clients at the Municipal and the Provincial Government levels in the interest of public safety and service.
We serve: Red Cross, Emergency Management Ontario, OPP Amber Alert, and CANWARN Environment Canada.
